I come from a rugby background, playing for 21yrs, then I started working out more at the gym and started to take a serious interest in Sports Nutrition. Since then, my body fat has decreased, my muscles are harder and my strength has increased.
Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. By eating the right foods, at the right times in the right amounts you will achieve maximum results from your training. The five main principles of sport nutrition that I base my programs around are Fuel, Refuel, Repair, Recovery and Hydrate. Not following these principles can result in early fatigue, loss of performance, injury, loss of muscle mass, wasted time and effort.
Since gaining my qualification in Sports Nutrition with Premier International Training, I have started my own sport nutrition business Active Nutrition. I am based at the Miskin Manor Health Club in Llantrisant, and at the new Ladies First Fitness Center in Ton Pentre, where I am the resident sport nutritionist. I work along side the personal trainers, giving personal nutrition programs based around a clients daily lifestyle, workout frequency and intensity, personal preferences for food and goals they want to achieve.
How the Programme Works:-
1 - 1 to 1: We can arrange an appointment for a free 1 to 1 consultation and body fat test, at either the Miskin Manor Health club, Miskin, Cardiff or Ladies 1st Fitness Center, Ton Pentre, Rhondda. I am prepared to travel, but will have to consider distance and maybe charge extra. I will need you to bring a food diary of 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day to the consultation.
2 - Online: If distance makes it impossible for a 1 to 1 consultation, I can do the program purely by e-mail. You van contact me, using one of the methods at the bottom of the page, and I will send you the full package.
